Normally ornaments and accessories are attached to kid clothing for decorating purpose, also in order to gain notice from children. Children are usually attracted by sparkle sequined ornaments, aren’t they? Smocked clothes with too many ornaments might be so nice and attractive however they are not good to buy for your children. The reason for that can be explained as following. Clothes rich in ornaments can make children uncomfortable when lying or playing around. Children themselves can be hurt by hard and sharp ornaments. Some can use such ornaments to hurt other kids. More dangerously, some can take insecure ornaments out of the garment and swallow them. Therefore, for security, parents should not choose kid clothing with too many ornaments on it. Just choose as simple smocked clothing as possible. In case your kids are really interested in ornamental smocked garment and you have no other option to choose, make sure the attached accessories are steady and safe enough for your kids to dress up.

Do not choose smocked clothing in light neutral colors

I remember mentioning in one entry that buying gender neutral color garments is one of the ways for saving money on kid smocked clothing. However, please do not choose neutral colors which are too light. Babies and kids are active. They should have the wonderful freedom of wearing styles with a lot of colors and patterns. Imagine when taking your children out to the park, it would be such a shame to dress your kids up in boring neutral colors, wouldn’t it? Therefore, smocked clothes in cheerful colors are recommended rather than light neutral ones.
